Pula (Latin: Colonia Pietas Iulia Pola; Italian: Pola; Slovene: Pulj) is the largest city in Istria County, Croatia, situated at the southern tip of the Istria peninsula, with a population of 62,080 (2006). Like the rest of the region, it is known for its mild climate, tame sea, and unspoiled nature. The city has a long tradition of winemaking, fishing, shipbuilding, and tourism. Pula has also been Istria's administrative center since ancient Roman times.
My name is S. Sljukic and I am a licensed tour guide for Istria and Pula. With my team I organize tours where you can discover Istria and Pula, and find all about its history through 3000 years of its egsistence. We also organize sightseeing tours in Istria, half and whole day tours, with cities of your choice.


Pula sightseeing tour leads you around the ancient city, where you can see and hear about all the important monuments, and the rich history of this town. Remains of ancient Roman times, the early Christianity, the times of Venice, Napoleon, Austria, Italy... We start with the Amphitheatre, then we go pass the remains of the Hercules' temple, to the Catedral, then to Forum Romanum with Augustus and Roma Temple, and the City Hall. From there we go pass the Chapel of Santa Maria Formosa, then to the gates of the Roman city : The Sergii Gates - Porta Aurea, The Hercules Gates, The Twin Gates - Porta Gemina, then pass the Church of St. Nicholas, we come to the Castle of Pula where you can enjoy the wonderfull view of the city, and from above look at the small roman theatre. The tour is 2 hours of light walk with 2 breaks of 5 mins, on Forum and on the Castle.
